While in Waynesville, be sure make a stop at the Old Stagecoach Stop, a local Museum dedicated to the detailed history of Route 66, because if you’re going to be spending so much time on the Mother Road, why not learn a thing or two about it? The Route 66 Audio Tour should do any knowledge-craving traveler justice.
Have you been seeing "Route 66" soda all over the place on your journey so far? Well, one of the first places you run across on this stretch is Mr. C's Route Post where the Route 66 Sodas originate.
Just past Mr. C's, racing fans can enjoy the Lebanon I-44 Speedway, an ASA member track that opened with a dirt oval in 1983. Many eventual NASCAR drivers have raced at the Lebanon I-44 Speedway, and many come back for other races even after they've hit the "big time."
