The Village of Odell serves as another well-known participant of the annual Illinois Rt. 66 Red Carpet Corridor Festival and stop along the Mother Road. Set further toward north-central Illinois, Odell offers a great itinerary for road trippers.
When you roll into Odell, be sure to see the Historical Standard Gas Station – a National Register of Historic Places listing where you should stop for souvenirs and actually get gas from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Get a photo with the "Downtown Odell Merchants" sign, and the iconic Old Route 66 Underground Passage Way. And if you’re hungry, grab a seat at local eateries like Rentz's, Pour Richards, and The Wishing Well Café.
