Your guide for Route 66 travel information, attractions, planning and hotel accommodations.

Pick a State or City to explore

Set just north of the Chicago Midway International Airport, Cicero is a southwestern Chicago community teeming with history and culture along Route 66.

One of many Ciceros in the United States, this Illinois city has been around since 1867 – and you'll know you’re there when you see the iconic Hawthorne Works Tower. You may also want to see the Chicagoland Sports Hall of Fame at the Hawthorne Race Course.

Encompassing eight distinct neighborhoods, Cicero also features historic sites like the St. Mary of Czestochowa Church at the corner of 48th Court and 30th Street. This 1918, Gothic-style church is also where the sister of Al Capone, Mafalda, was married in 1930.
